The White Horse

The White Horse is an attractive multiple-Award winning 16th century pub in the village of Hascombe nestled in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just 8 miles from Guildford and at the crossways of numerous footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways including the Greensand Way.  Voted the Best Destination Pub in Surrey for three consecutive years and hosting Surrey Life Chef of the Year Winner Valentino Gentile, the White Horse is a haven for drinkers & diners alike!

Originally a coaching inn, The White Horse retains its old world charm with timber beams aplenty, oak & brick floors and wood fires to warm you on cold winter days.  The redesigned Garden Dining Terrace & the beer garden to the rear of the pub are havens of tranquillity in the summer months while the front terrace, facing due west, is a lovely spot to enjoy the setting sun with fabulous views across fields of grazing sheep or cattle and the unspoilt hills beyond.

As a Free House, we offer an excellent, dynamic and varied selection of beers & ales while our wine list provides a diverse range of both old & new world wines.

Guests at The White Horse have the option of enjoying a traditional pub “classics” menu in the Saloon Bar/Restaurant or a selection of seasonal dishes served in the relaxed atmosphere of the newly refurbished The Dining Room @ The White Horse with Head Chef Valentino using the abundance of fresh local produce to offer interesting and uncomplicated menus which are changed on a regular basis.
The White Horse front of house & kitchen teams look forward to providing you a warm welcome in a peaceful setting in the Surrey countryside, far away from the frantic pace of everyday life!
