Following the success of our evening of Jazz over the May Bank Holiday Week-End, we have entertainment in the second half of August as follows:
Bank Holiday Sunday 27th August @ 5.00-8.00 pm, on The Terrace - Katie’s Crooked Swing Band
Katie Crooks, who performed at The White Horse in May with David Kirby, is returning this time with her Crooked Swing Band for an evening of Swing music and a mix of modern & classic jazz. With Katie once again on vocals, she is accompanied by David Ward on guitar, Joe Yeadon on bass, Sam Parker on Sax & Robin Lowry on drums.
Please call or email if you would like to book a table for late lunch or early dinner on either evening (last orders at 8.00 pm).
We hope to see you there!
The White Horse
The White Horse is an attractive 16th century pub in the village of Hascombe nestled in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just 8 miles from Guildford and at the crossways of numerous footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways including the Greensand Way.
Originally a coaching inn, The White Horse retains its old world charm with timber beams aplenty, oak & brick floors and wood fires to warm you on cold winter days. The beer garden to the rear of the pub is a haven of tranquillity in the summer months while the front terrace, facing due west, is a lovely spot to enjoy the setting sun with fabulous views across fields of grazing sheep or cattle and the unspoilt hills beyond.
As a Free House, we offer an excellent and varied selection of beers & ales while our wine list provides a diverse range of both old & new world wines.
Guests at The White Horse have the option of enjoying a traditional pub “classics” menu in the Saloon Bar/Restaurant or a selection of seasonal dishes served in the relaxed atmosphere of the newly refurbished The Dining Room @ The White Horse with Head Chef Daniel Britten using the abundance of local produce to offer interesting and uncomplicated menus which are changed on a regular basis.
The White Horse front of house & kitchen teams look forward to providing you a warm welcome in a peaceful setting in the Surrey countryside, far away from the frantic pace of everyday life!
